Detroit City Council At Large
(Beverly Kindle -Walker ) I'm in the race for one of two seats for Detroit City Council at-Large. The primary election is Tuesday, August 8th. I walk in the footsteps of Councilman Clyde Cleveland and Councilwoman Brenda M. Scott having served as a Legislative Assistant for a combined nine years. I was a Neighborhood City Hall Manager at the Northeast Office and South Schafer Office for three years. Currently I am a Legislative Assistant to Wayne County Commissioner Tim Killeen, D-Detroit. I ran for Detroit City Council in 2005 and 2009. I also ran for Wayne County Treasurer for several election cycles, challenging the status quo. I have a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from Central Michigan University, a BS in Community Development also from Central Michigan University and an Associates degree from Wayne County Community College. My church home is Bailey Temple COGIC where I am a licensed missionary. I am not a rubber stamp nor an obstruction. I am for restoration of the Spirit of Detroit for the people of Detroit. Will define later. I'm in it for the long haul. Thanks to everyone for your support, prayers and petitions. Praise God for the victory in the name of JESUS! Amen! 04/26/17
